Summary:

The Courier is the face of the organization to our customers and acts as an ambassador for the company in everything he/she does. Everyday excellence is a critical component in fulfilling this position requirement. This position performs day to day route operations by serving client needs by properly tracking, sorting, storing and transporting our product. Perform daily route in a safe, customer friendly, and critical manner.

Job Description:

The Courier is assigned daily route which will need to be adhered to according to state and company guidelines; Safely operates company vehicle to deliver product and other materials; and provides customer service in an organized, efficient, and professional manner. May act as driver/delivery person or as the “ride along”.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Study orders for delivery of product.
• Understand specific instructions provided pertaining to care and time allowance.
• Ascertain that product is properly packed so that they can be transported safely.
• Place items in temp controlled storage within the vehicle (or as instructions detail) and ensure that they are secured safely.
• Ensure that documents are properly secured.
• Take orders for delivering items to specified destinations and understand the need for urgency.
• Ensure all accompanying documents such as receipts are kept along with items.
• Chart out an appropriate route on the GPS or map to make sure that the least amount of time is taken to reach the destination.
• Drive vehicle to the destination in a safe manner, keeping the time of delivery in mind.
• Deliver items and documents to the assigned person and take signatures on receipts.
• Perform general cleaning of the vehicle to maintain compliance with state rules.

Courier Requirements/Qualifications:

• 3+ years in Courier delivery driver role.
• Have or obtain DOT medical card.
• Must be able to pass a background check and motor vehicle record check.
• A valid driver license. Will have or be able to obtain a class E license.
• Must be willing and able to drive in inclement weather (i.e., snow, ice, rain, wind)
• GPS knowledgeable. Computer literate with ability to learn new software programs.
• Ability to lift to 25 lbs.
