We currently have an opportunity for a Driver for our Hialeah location.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide member transportation to and from their homes and clinic ensuring safety guidelines.
• Works closely with the Dispatchers to pick up members at the clinic.
• Assists members, including handicapped, in and out of the vehicle; operates ramps, and securement devise as needed.
• Read and interprets maps and driving directions to plan the most efficient route service for members.
• Ensures good customer service by consistently picking up members on time and behaving with integrity in a courteous and professional manner.
• Ensure any member complaints are reported to the Transportation Supervisor and possibly resolve member complaints.
• Maintains accurate, up-to-date records on travel sheets, customer transportation forms, detailing pick-up and delivery times, vehicle maintenance forms, fuel purchases, incident reports, accident reports, vehicle condition reports and other reports as needed.
• Responds immediately to accident or medical emergencies by notifying emergency response providers and rendering First Aid or CPR until emergency personnel arrives.
• Must adhere to traffic laws and conduct vehicle in a safe manner when driving.
• Maintains Clinic van in good, clean operating order by regularly washing and refueling vehicle.
• Notifies Supervisor of repairs and service needs while performing minor maintenance tasks on vehicle as required.
• Participates in job related safety trainings for, OSHA, Driver Safety, and Customer Service.
• Remains updated with all annually revised regulatory standards (OSHA).
• Maintains a satisfactory driving record.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Experience/Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• CPR and BLS certificate issued by the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
• Healthcare experience preferred.
• Knowledge of auto mechanics preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong physical ability.

Schedule: Monday to Friday; 8-hour shift; flexible schedule
