Job Summary

We are looking for a dynamic design drafter to join our company. In this role, you'll collaborate with engineers and architects to create drafts of a technical design. You'll calculate dimensions and weight limitations, as well as use SolidWorks to create drawings and designs.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Create detailed manufacturing & engineering technical drawings
• Generate CNC operational files (Training available)
• Create detailed installation drawings
• Communicate design & product specifications in writing
• Revise existing drawings & follow proper document release procedures
• Coordinate with team to understand project & product requirements, verify design details and recommend modifications as needed.
• Work independently efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• And other assigned duties.

Required Education and Experience

• 2+ years of Solidworks experience.
• Must have a minimum 2 years of experience in Solidworks drawing environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to effectively communicate and work collaboratively with various departments such as purchasing & manufacturing team
• Detail oriented & strong organization skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks & meet deadlines.
• Understanding of engineering concepts, principles, & techniques
• Strong Problem-solving skills.

Preferred Education and Experience

• SolidWorks PDM: 1 Year
• CNC Machine Programming: 1 Year
• General knowledge of CNC Machines & G-Code

• Must be able to sit at a desk for several hours at a time and operate basic office equipment.
• Must be able to move freely and travel to and from workstation carrying tools and material.
• Must be able to identify & organize tools and material.
• Must be able to constantly move and lift tools & materials up to 50 pounds.
• May require bending and reaching in areas from floor level to six feet high.
• Must be able to walk & stand on feet for long periods of time 8-10 hours daily.
• Requires the ability to distinguish letters or symbols and eye/hand coordination.
• Work is performed in a manufacturing environment where the noise level is usually moderate to high.
