Complete 3D models of construction components as per the structural and architectural plans, design shop drawings/details, and erection layouts using 3D and 2D software while ensuring project criteria are met and consistent with client requirements, corporate mission, and values.

Essential Functions

• Gather, examine and interpret information from project documents;

• Complete 3D models of building as per contract using Revit;

• Connects structural elements as per contract drawings and engineering specifications;

• Coordinate discrepancies and missing information;

• Detect and propose solutions for possible interferences between different trades;

• Completes 2D shop drawings of construction elements generated from 3D models;

• Completes 2D erection layouts generated from 3D models;

• Generates material lists as required.

• 
  Associates degree (AA) or certification from trade/technical school in a related discipline;

• 1 to 3 years of experience in structural engineering drafting or an equivalent combination of education and work experience

• Revit software knowledge: Medium+ level.

• Advance Steel knowledge is not required but will be a plus for consideration.

• Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures, specifications, structural drawings and job specifications

• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence

• Ability to communicate effectively in english.

• Good learning and communication skills.

• We will provide training upon hiring for specific standards and proprietary software

Our office is responsible for the design of Hambro structural floor system, a patented composite structural steel joists system used mainly in residential construction here in South Florida.
