Palmetto Moon is looking for reliable and energetic candidates to join our Distribution Center team. The Distribution Center Associate will perform a variety of routine receiving, transferring, shipping, production and house keeping tasks. The receiving tasks include loading and unloading truck shipments, and stocking warehouse shelves. Production tasks include handling product, machine operation, and tagging merchandise. Transferring tasks include splitting merchandise between stores, and boxing it in the appropriate location. He or she will be responsible for following warehouse and company policies and procedures. This position reports directly to DC supervisor.

Responsibilities:

• Receive and unload incoming materials
• Tag merchandise accurately and appropriately
• Follow special instructions for labeling particular product
• Verify product matches the receiving document and tickets
• Sort, count, package, and label merchandise that is being transferred to other stores
• Inspect shipment for damages, loss, or defects and notify supervisor of findings
• Adhere to the compliance of all legal and safety procedures
• Check inventory to verify availability of needed stock
• Maintain product stock and a clean, and organized warehouse
• Cooperate with store personnel and Palmetto Moon Courier
• Operate dolly and cart to move product and boxes

• Must be at least 16 years old to apply
• Effective communication/comprehension skills verbal and written
• Math Skills ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure
• Basic computer skills
• The ability to work under pressure and handle challenging situations and to work well in a team environment
• Self-motivated
• Physical Requirements-ability to bend, twist, stoop, reach, climb ladders, & lift materials up to 50 lbs
• Retail warehousing/distribution center experience a plus
