Job Title: Shift Lead

Reports to: Retail Supervisor, Dispensary Manager

Supervises: Dispensary Associates

Oversees: Retail

Core Duties:

The role of the Shift Leads is to ensure that established guidelines are adhered to and that procedures for the daily operations of the retail facility run smoothly. Duties include overseeing Dispensary Associates regarding on-floor transactional assistance, helping the Floor Supervisor in ensuring that staff follow all established procedures for customer facing transactions, overseeing cash management, opening and closing the dispensary as necessary onboarding & training new dispensary associates, creating/monitoring daily schedules, and maintaining the general cleanliness of the facility. The Shift Leads will embrace continued education as it relates to the cannabis industry and be a team player.

Principal Responsibilities:

The primary responsibilities of the Shift Leads are to follow the instructions of the Retail Supervisor regarding customer service, customer education and cash management.

• 80% Daily Tasks: customer facing transactions, customer education, cash management, store operations, and assuring the retail space is compliant with all regulations.
• 10% Complete janitorial duties: focusing on the Retail Floor(clean counters, tables, bathroom, floors, display cases)
• 10% Other Duties assigned by the Retail Supervisor and/or Dispensary Manager.

Essential Work Experience and Qualifications:

• Customer service experience
• Cash handling experience
• Management experience preferred
• Cannabis industry experience a plus but not necessary!
• Knowledgeable about cannabis: genetics, laws, medicinal values, culture and trends of the industry.

Physical Requirements / Work Environment:

• Shift Leads must be able to stand for long periods of time with appropriate breaks.
• Shift Leads will assist in moving product throughout the facility and must be able to lift 30 pounds.
• Must be comfortable working in a bustling Retail environment with music playing and voices talking.
• Weekend/holiday/evening availability required
