Sunbelt Forest Products, Rockledge, FL is seeking a self-motivated individual who is a fast learner and takes pride in their work.

Dispatcher/ Logistics Coordinator Duties and Responsibilities:

• Scheduling drivers to make freight deliveries or picking up shipments.
• Communicating with customers about freight details, delivery, or pickup times.
• Answer incoming phone calls from drivers and/or customers.
• Planning pre-determined routes and accommodating route changes as needed.
• Preparing dispatch documents, as well as processing freight bills.
• Maintaining records of dispatched calls as well as delivery and pickup times.
• Organization and the ability to Multi-Task a must
• Be able to work independently
• Customer Service (check in drivers, weigh loads, print BOL, back up as needed)

Essential Functions:

• Transparent communication with teammates to ensure consistent application of organizational policies and best practices.
• Accuracy in all areas of record keeping and data entry.
• Use problem solving skills to resolve day-to-day issues that arise in a way that maintains the high standards established by our organization.

• Use our systems to help identify ready shipments and schedule those for delivery.
• Consciously strive to utilize the most dependable and cost-effective carriers to maintain the high standards of on time performance.
• Communicate with various departments through phone calls, email, and in person interactions in a respectful collaborative manner.
• Understand rates by carrier and lane. Use our systems to insure we are using the best fit carriers.
• Adjust schedule as needed to accommodate emergency loads, while understanding the impact it has on the rest of the team.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree (preferred) or a high school diploma or equivalent with experience (1 year)
• At least one year of dispatch experience (preferred)
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Excellent time management skills
• Ability to work in a team environment
