Job description
Southwestern Electric is looking for an individual to enhance our dispatch center operations. A dispatcher receives, records, and distributes work orders to service crews upon customers' requests for service and serves as our very own "Oz", behind the scenes of outages, directing crews and assisting with power restoration. Key responsibilities include:
- receiving and logging reports of outages,
- working with new members who need service,
- utilizing a two-way radio system to communicate with field personnel and direct work in the field,
- providing information to members regarding their service and outages,
- processing work requests,
- updating SWECI-work in the JULIE locate system,
- utilizing multiple software systems,
- maintaining proper outage records, and
- other duties as assigned.

- Must be able to maintain composure and gather detailed information during stressful situations.

- Possess technical aptitude.
