Job description
Position Overview: Responsible for removing drivetrain and misc. parts from wrecked vehicles, inspecting automotive parts and preparing parts for shipping. Required to perform other related tasks requested by supervision.
Essential Job Functions:
- Properly operate lifts, fork lifts, torches, power wrenches, automotive lifts, crane, etc.
- Ability to move vehicles without damaging the vehicle, other vehicles or personnel
- Ability to remove body and mechanical parts without damage to part, self or others
- Verify quality of parts being pulled so they meet or exceed company standards
- Ability to accurately assess condition of questionable parts and of those to be pulled
- Insure that part sold matches the description listed on the work order or invoice
- Insure parts are taken to the shipping area and placed so that no additional damage can occur
- Accurately complete Dismantling Report
- Expected to follow company policies as outlined in the company?s Employee Handbook
- Follow all safety regulations
- Perform other related duties as may be assigned by supervision
- Maintain acceptable attendance standards, including being on time
