We are seeking a hard-working, skilled, and creative candidate to join our team as a Dishwasher with room for growth in the Food Service Department! He/She provides food services in a residential environment, while communicating with and accessing the support of professional staff.
Job Duties:
- Maintains cleanliness of dining room and kitchen in accordance to sanitary and with national and local standards.
- Discards waste properly in accordance with sanitary standards.
- Assure preparation and handling of food in accordance with sanitary regulations and with national and local standards, acting within administrative policies and within budgetary requirements.
- Assure storage of perishables and avoidance of food spoilage and waste.
- Willingness to work for the best interests of the facility.
- Ability to work cooperatively with others and a variety of employees.
- Take responsibility for own professional growth and development.
- Maintains boundaries with patients while patients are eating meals in Kitchen.
- Maintains cleanliness throughout Kitchen; including, refrigerators and blinds.
- After each meal, maintains cleanliness of tables and condiments, preparing for next meal.
- Washes dishes, ensuring proper cleanliness, as needed.
- Ensures proper shut down or open of Kitchen and all Kitchen equipment.
- Maintains cleanliness of Kitchen equipment after each use.
- Maintains stocking of shelves; including all patient snacks and kitchen condiments.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum experience required composed of evidence of experience in above noted areas of practice, to include experience in the area of sanitation, hygiene, food preparation.
Abilities/Competencies:
- Knowledge of principles and practices of the discipline.
- Demonstrates Proficiency in Communication, Observation & Written skills.
- Adheres to: Healthcare Code of Ethics
- Knowledge of State & Federal Statutes Regarding:
