Summary: Works collaboratively across the organization to design, implement, and evaluate a meaningful staff development program for employees that build both organizational performance and professional skills. Develops and executes a learning plan and strategy that can be delivered across multiple outlets and measured for success and effectiveness. Strategic goals of the staff development plan should align with the organizational strategic goals.

Anticipated salary: $90,000 Extended experience: up to $107,500 if experience exceeds expectations
Principal Functions:
Develops and implements a multi-year strategy to create a “learning organization.”
Designs, implements and evaluates professional development and continuous learning programs.
Develops and maintains program curricula and specialized learning tracks.
Manages the Specialist, Staff Development & Staff Engagement day-to-day program activities
Collaborates with relevant staff to address issues in diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Evaluates and includes TRHT (Truth, Racial Healing & Transformation) goals as part of an overall strategic plan.
Monitors development gaps across the organization and identifies solutions.
Networks with external consultants to provide options for internal training and facilitation.
Supports development aspects of the on-boarding process.
Monitors professional development needs of the organization and provides individual professional development recommendations.
Manages and facilitates supervisors’ training and development.
Demonstrates a high degree of collaboration with multiple department partners to achieve their learning goals.
Clearly communicates strategy and initiatives with staff.
Manages staff training content on the learning management system.
Streamlines training & development processes.
Manages the staff convenings including ASTHO days/weeks.
Monitors trends in both the non-profit and training & development industries.
Creates an inclusive environment for learning in a remote workplace.
Assesses training and development successes, needs, and outcomes.
Evaluates strategies and programs to measure the achievement of established goals.
Assists with the provision of expert facilitation.
Prepares and manages the program budget.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in related field
4+ years of relevant experience
Experience developing and implementing a strategic plan for employee training.
Assessment and evaluation knowledge
Demonstrated ability as a trainer/presenter preferred
Excellent interpersonal skills
Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) creation and management
Self-motivated, problem solver, who is flexible and adapts easily to change
Must be highly organized, able to work in a fast-paced team environment
Uses flexible communication styles to meet the needs of varying audiences and learners
Project management experience and/or knowledge of quality improvement preferred.
Knowledge of virtual learning platforms (LinkedIn Learning, WebEx, Zoom, Adobe Connect, etc.)
Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including MS Word and Excel; basic knowledge of other relevant software preferred.
