SUMMARY:

The Director of Technology oversees all technology operations for NextGen America. This role will be responsible for identifying, providing and maintaining all the technological tools to support the organization with achieving its mission. A successful Director of Technology will have strong project management skills, working knowledge of cloud based solutions to support a remote workforce, expert understanding of cyber security and a natural disposition toward customer service. This role will report to the Chief Operating Officer.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversee of all technology operations for the organization
• Analyzes business requirements of staff and stakeholders to determine technology needs of the organization to identify and recommend appropriate technology solutions
• Selecting, procuring, securing, and supporting technology hardware and software platforms
• Maintaining the security of our technology infrastructure by staying abreast of potential threats, identifying tools to minimize security exposures, developing processes to implement best security practices and educating staff on cyber security
• Advising NextGen America staff on technology implementations
• Develop and establish IT policies and systems to support general operations, compliance requirements or other organizational needs
• Provide troubleshooting and general helpdesk support for staff as needed
• Manage technology-related contracts and vendors
• Perform other duties as assigned

Required Skills /Experience:

• 3+ years experience in IT Management
• Expert knowledge of Google Workspace Administration, MS Office suite, cloud-based collaborative technologies, Mac OS, iOS and Android mobile devices, and IT security best practices
• Networking knowledge and support experience (DNS, DHCP, VPN)
• Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to maintain effective relationships with partners and staff in person and remote
• Frequent to constant use of hands/fingers/arms: position requires 7-8 hours per day of constant operation of a computer, phone, and other office machinery

Additional Desired Skills:

• Familiarity with workstation management and MDM tools (e.g. Meraki SM, JAMF Pro)
• Strong understating of desktop security (anti-virus/anti-spam/firewall/patching/two-factor authentication)
• Professional certifications demonstrating knowledge of network technologies, Apple devices, and/or information security (Security +, Net +, ACSP) or equivalent experience
• Experience configuring and administering Salesforce (particularly the NonProfit Success Pack)

COMPENSATION:

Salary range for this position is $105,000 - $117,000. Compensation will be based on experience. NextGen America also offers a very comprehensive benefits package.
