Director of Risk Management - FT - Days (1354-001)
Job description
Develops and administers risk management programs. Creates and modifies policies to comply with safety legislation, JCAHO, HIPAA, and industry practices. Coordinates and develops hospital-wide programs for quality patient care and risk-free services. Acts as the liaison to attorneys, insurance companies, and individuals. Investigates any incidences that may result in an asset loss. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Leads and directs the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to CQO. Bachelor's degree in nursing or related field and at least 7 -10 years of experience in the field. Active Arizona RN License. Current certification in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM) preferred. Must be familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. The Director of Risk Management shall also serve as the Patient Safety Officer.
