Job description
Schuyler Hospital is seeking a full time Director of Practice Operations. This position will report to the Chief Operating Officer of CMA/VP of Ambulatory Services and will have overall responsibility and oversight for effective and efficient practice operations of the outpatient clinics at Schuyler Hospital, Inc. Position will directly supervise practice managers of the Rural Health Clinic (internal medicine, family medicine, and multi-specialty services) and Pain Clinic, among others. Responsibility for development of established practices and integrating new practices into the organization. Communicates regularly with physicians, staff and the public. Responsible to meet budget goals.
Requirements
- The successful candidate should possess a Bachelor's degree in Business or Health Care Administration combined with a minimum of 5 years of practice management experience. Possession of a Master's Degree is preferred.
- Knowledge of physician practice management is essential.
- Knowledge of policies, procedures and process development.
- Background in practice billing and coding.
- Working knowledge of electronic health records.
- Strong financial analysis and management, professional negotiation skills, and commitment to customer service required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to successfully and positively interact with providers, office staff, and colleagues within a "matrixed" organization.
- Ability to lead, motivate and successfully shepherd change.
