Job Title: Director-Outreach and Enrollment Wage/Hour Status: Exempt

Reports to: Chief Development Officer

Primary Purpose:

The mission of Life School is to develop leaders with life skills through strong academics, character training, and partnerships with parents and the community.

In support of the Life School mission, the Director-Outreach and Enrollment will plan and organize outreach and enrollment of new students, re-enrollment and retention of current students, and parent engagement as it relates to enrollment and retention.

Qualifications:

Education/Certification: Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree preferred2-3 years’ experience in admissions or enrollment is preferred

Special Knowledge/Skills: Strong computer and business skillsStrong organizational, communication, public speaking, public relations, and interpersonal skillsAbility to communicate in both written and oral forms.Bilingual preferredAbility to create and conduct presentationsAbility to establish and maintain effective working relationships both internal and external to the district

Major Responsibilities and Duties:

General:

  • Supervise Enrollment Liaisons and Enrollment Specialist with a focus on customer service.
  • Oversee and manage all Enrollment Liaison registrar duties in SchoolMint and TEAMS.
  • Conduct monthly Enrollment Liaison meetings.
  • Provide student and enrollment reports as needed.
  • Create, oversee, and measure intervention and mitigation programs to retain students.
  • Coordinate with campus leadership to assist with school-based programming for families and students to maintain an enrollment and retention focus. i.e. Partners for Life, social and cultural activities/events, orientations, etc.
  • Coordinate with campus leadership on campus communication material for families and students such as weekly newsletters, social media posts, event flyers, email and text communications in order to maintain an enrollment/retention/engagement focus.

Enrollment:

  • Oversee and manage SchoolMint enrollment software.
  • Actively plan, promote, and communicate re-enrollment opportunities to current families and students district wide.

New Family Engagement:

  • Plan and Implement district-wide marketing and communication plans to drive increased student enrollment.
  • Collaborate with campus leaders and Enrollment Liaisons to plan, organize, and communicate on- campus outreach events such as open houses, school tours, parent nights, preview days, etc.

  • Oversee and measure proactive communication with prospective parents and students via phone, email, K12, and text.
  • Create, oversee, and measure campus visit programs.
  • Develop, oversee, and measure local marketing efforts for the campuses such as distributing flyers & posters, and developing relationships with the surrounding community.
  • Collaborate and build relationships with community organizations to increase awareness and promote enrollment.
  • Plan and execute off-campus outreach events.
  • Oversee and report on student retention activities for first year students to increase student retention.

Compliance:

  • Comply with policies established by federal and state laws, Texas State Board of Education rules, and board policy.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Supervise daily operations and evaluate the performance of the Enrollment Specialist and theEnrollment Liaisons.

Maintain emotional control under stress. Potential for frequent organization wide, statewide, and national travel; occasional prolonged and irregular hours.
