Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced leader to oversee RWM warehouse and sales operations to scale our internal capabilities. The Director of Fulfillment will be accountable for flawless execution from product receipt to final client delivery. Given the importance of technology in these processes, the ideal candidate will develop into the Company expert on all order entry and ERP systems.

The Director of Fulfillment will lead the customer service & warehouse teams and will be accountable for all processes and communication between sales and fulfillment. They will work with multiple businesses and technical teams across sister companies to execute group-wide strategy and effectively implement changes.

The ideal candidate is an entrepreneurial minded, data-driven individual who is able to work directly with staff and senior leaders across several functional areas, including sales, operations, technology and shipping. Cross-team coordination, financial & legal acumen, project management, and executive presentation skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Manage all associates in order entry, fulfillment, and delivery at RWM (18 team members total: 2 direct reports, 4 office and 13 warehouse associates)

• Lead all analysis for operations at Rosenthal Wine Merchant, directly reporting to the COO

• Develop and execute annual plans to increase order entry fulfillment efficiency and reduce fulfillment and delivery costs

• Conduct semi-annual and yearly rate analysis and negotiations with Tri-State area carriers

• Lead weekly and monthly results reviews with in-depth root cause analysis for all exceptions in inbound receiving, order entry, fulfillment and shipping

• Innovate, build, and deliver a logistics strategy across local, regional and national clients

• Manage and execute improvement plans that support group-wide operations strategy

• Other duties as required, in the areas of analytics, operations, and/or technology

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree; 5+ years of Supply Chain or Logistics experience within consumer products, ecommerce, a major shipping carrier or 3PL

• Clear and concise communication skills

• Exceptional team building and management skills with an empathetic and emotionally intelligent approach to building company culture

• Experience managing managers

• Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills

• Experience creating, analyzing and communicating data-driven strategic models for senior leadership to consider

• The ability to work effectively as an individual and part of a team by meeting tight deadlines and prioritizing workloads in a fast-paced environment

• A big picture understanding of fulfillment operations and the ability to think strategically about improvements

Technical Skills

• ERP Proficiency, with experience in at least one major platform (NetSuite, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Epicor, Sage, etc.)

• Strong Excel and data modeling skills; strong understanding of SQL preferred
