The Henry and Stark County Health Department is searching for a full time Environmental Health Director. This position serves under the direction of the Public Health Administrator. Some of the responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to: reviews and approves plans, issues permits, and inspects food service facilities, private sewage disposal systems and private water supplies; assists in preparation of ordinance and regulations for local adoption in accordance with recommended standards; plans, develops, implements and evaluate program goals, objectives, standards of performance, and policies and procedures; collaborates with other health personnel in epidemiological investigations and control; develops administrative methods which may include reports, staff meetings and on-site visits to monitor program utilization, time, efficiency and to analyze operational procedures; establishes standards for evaluation of environmental health team.
