About the Role:

We are looking for a communications professional to build and lead corporate communications at Panorama, including corporate brand and storytelling, media relations, and employer branding. As Director of Corporate Communications, you will advance Panorama's corporate narrative and develop effective media strategies for showcasing how districts use Panorama's products and services to improve education for every student.

Reporting to the SVP of Marketing, you will provide ongoing partnership and counsel to Panorama's CEO and to Panorama's executive and senior leadership teams to elevate Panorama's story to attract and retain customers and talent.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advance Panorama's brand as a trusted, high-impact education technology partner and top employer
  • Develop communications strategy that positions Panorama as the leading K-12 education company
  • Plan and prioritize media outreach and opportunities and lead the preparation of company messaging, talking points, presentations, press releases, and other communications materials
  • Represent Panorama as a company spokesperson in media interactions that help advance Panorama's story and elevate Panorama's positive impacts in school districts
  • Create and execute on strategies to effectively respond to reputational challenges and overcome misinformation
  • Effectively partner with executive and senior leadership team members on communications around company projects such as acquisitions, organizational updates, and other significant business developments
  • Recruit and manage communications professionals to support the development and execution of Panorama's corporate communications strategy
  • Lead relationships with external communications partners
  • Collaborate with government relations, legal, account management, sales, and other Panorama teams on responsive actions, proactive campaigns, and to support school districts' communications priorities

Our Ideal Candidate has:

  • 7+ years of relevant communications experience at a highly-visible, national or multinational company or organization
    • Experience leading communications in SaaS and/or for high growth tech companies and/or working in K-12 education are a plus
  • 2+ years people leadership experience - building, managing, and mentoring a team
  • Experience building a corporate communications strategy and effectively bringing it to life through activities and tactics, both through direct execution and leading a team
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and manage complex, multi-part and/or multi-audience public relations programs to build brand trust and achieve clear goals
  • Extensive experience with media relations, including proactively building relationships with press, facilitating media placements, and handling media inquiries on behalf of a company and/or clients
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills, including developing compelling corporate storytelling
  • Experience understanding the impact of and incorporating attention to diversity, equity, and inclusion in communications work and engagement with colleagues
  • Experience and excellent judgment in working closely with company executives, providing sound counsel and helping company leaders develop their voice and thought leadership in key communications channels
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and with colleagues at all levels to achieve successful outcomes
