The Medical Group Business Office Director will be responsible for supporting the
Revenue Cycle for the Physicians Business Office. These duties will include day-to-day operations such as charge entry, payment posting, patient accounts, denial management. This position is also responsible for personnel management, staffing, timekeeping, employee evaluations, counselling and selection of staff. The Medical Business Office Director will plan, organize and influence department activities and the delivery of Business Services.
The Medical Business Office Director is also involved in maintaining the operation of the department within
budgetary parameters and maintaining
continuous quality improvement.

Qualifications:
Education and Work Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting or Finance required (effective 4/1/14 for all new hires).
- Three to five years experience in health care business office required.
- Preferred Skills and Abilities: Must be able to demonstrate understanding of and ability to interpret third party payer principles and terms and COBRA laws. Strong organizational skills required for effective communication with patients, physicians, public, staff and administrations. Must be able to work in fast paced environment with frequent interruptions.
- Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
- Effective written, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize needs to meet required timelines.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Customer Services experience required.
- Computer and word processing skills.
- Knowledge of equipment, systems and machines used in the Business Office.
- Knowledge of collection procedures and regulations
