Essential Functions:

• Provides oversight of all inbound and outbound transportation in the organization in order to improve the efficiency of the supply chain using the TMS.
• Provide SOP oversight to all company warehouse locations and develop metrics and KPIs to ensure accurate and timely receipt of inventory and distribution through the ERP and WMS systems.
• Development, reporting and understanding of transportation key performance indicators.
• Develop strong partnership with Technology to drive automation and develop tools that provide real-time visibility of our product throughout the entire inbound/outbound process - from vendors to the distribution centers or end customer.
• Foster and maintain multiple vendor relationships (domestic and international).
• Responsible for all DOT requirements for the company, drivers and vehicles.
• Negotiate rates and services with carriers and warehouses, as well as ensure implementation of carrier discounts.
• Provide and maintain broad, deep understanding of current market/industry trends regarding rates and suppliers contrasted with short and long-term company demand.
• Analyzes stocking locations to optimize supply chain speed and efficiency.
• Analyzes current inventories and procedures; suggests improvements to increase efficiency of supply chain and profitability for the company.
• Identifies optimal shipment and transportation routes with attention to consolidation of warehousing and distribution.
• Provides leadership, coaching, mentoring and development of team members.

Qualifications:

• BA or BS degree in Supply Chain Management, Transportation, Logistics, or Business
• 10+ years experience in Transportation logistics which includes domestic and international (ocean, rail, over land).
• Comprehensive knowledge of Ocean Freight Export/Import
• Strategy and project management experience
• Experience with domestic and international 3PL
• Prior experience in contract negotiation
• ASCM or CSCMP certification desired.
• Bilingual Spanish/English a plus
• Knowledge of Excel and Word, good financial abilities

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $120,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
