Job Summary:

The Director, Legal and Compliance will advise Harrow Health’s wholly-owned subsidiary ImprimisRx’s Commercial, Market Access, and Medical Affairs functions on issues related to existing and new product commercialization activities. The person in this role will need to have a thorough understanding of the laws governing pharmaceutical sales and marketing in an FDA and DEA regulated environment. We need a personable, practical advisor who can confidently partner cross-functionally on the day-to-day business activities of a pharmaceutical company, as well as the strong ability to communicate legal advice to non-lawyers.

Position Responsibilities:

• Partner cross-functionally to manage all legal advice on commercialization activities, including advising Commercial and Medical Affairs planning and execution of effective and compliant product launch strategies and review of materials through the Promotional Review Committee (PRC).
• Foster a culture of compliant interactions with healthcare professionals, including conducting medical advisory boards, market research and customer contracting.
• Communicate legal advice to internal department stakeholders in a clear and understandable way.
• Provide training on a range of commercial and compliance matters, including commercial contracts, healthcare compliance (Anti-Kickback Statute; False Claims Act and Sunshine Laws) and other compliance matters (FDA, FCPA)
• Manage outside counsel contributors to ensure consistent and quality advice.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctorate Degree with current California or Tennessee licensure.
• 7+ years legal experience, which may include in-house pharmaceutical or biotech industry experience.
• Deep understanding of the applicable laws and regulations.
• Ability to partner cross-functionally, counsel effectively, and inspire support for legal/compliance.
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple, conflicting priorities while managing a substantial workload.
• Proven ability to execute on complex projects and lead them to successful completion.
• Internal applicants must be in their current position 12 months before they are eligible to apply

Work Environment/Physical Demands

• Travel may be required for up to 10% of your time.
