NATURE OF WORK: Responsible for the quality of High Intensity Services in the Mental Health and Substance Abuse Programs. These services include, but are not limited to Targeted Case Management, Service Coordination, Community Engagement Services, Day Treatment, Residential Supports, Club House, 24-hour Crisis Intervention Services, Crisis Stabilization Unit, and Assertive Community Treatment. This position provides clinical and administration supervision of assigned staff. Works to ensure that the short and long term goals of the programs within the division are planned and monitored to maintain compliance and remain fiscally sound while meeting Valleys mission.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Oversees and coordinates clinical and administrative functions to ensure that quality client services are provided within the High Intensity Services Division.
  • Provides clinical and administrative supervision to employees as assigned to ensure that quality client services are provided.
  • Provides oversight of Supervisors assigned with respect to administrative functions, caseload management and clinical consultation.
  • Works to maintain the accuracy and integrity of clinical data by recognizing non-compliance factors and identifying and implementing corrective actions.
  • Plans and directs services within the assigned division programs.
  • Maintains communications with community members, other agencies and State officials to keep up-to-date on relevant issues.
  • Maintains quality assurance and consumer satisfaction.
  • Attends CCRC and other meetings as assigned representing the High Intensity Services Division.
  • Assures appropriate procedures to best utilize and account for available funds.
  • Maintains program development that will identify funds available to meet identified community needs.
  • Supervises all assigned staff through appropriate hiring, training, evaluations, orientation to job specific site/duties, scheduling and delegation.
  • Participates in budgetary development and monitoring.
  • Responsible for marketing and community relations for all programs within scope of responsibility.
  • Monitors Direct Client Service Time of employees in assigned programs to meet Valley standards.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, benchmarking professional standards, reviewing professional publications and establishing personal networks.
  • OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to perform Essential Duties as outlined below.
  • BA/BS in a Human Services field from an accredited institution of higher education.
  • Three years previous operational experience in a behavioral healthcare environment.
  • Five years previous supervisory experience.
  • Ability to comply with Valleys and Division departmental safety procedures.
  • Ability to read, write, understand and speak the English language.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • MA/MS in a Human Services field from an accredited institution of higher education.
  • Knowledge of West Virginia Medicaid/Medicare and Behavioral Health Licensure regulations.
  • Current Licensed Psychologist, LCSW, LICSW, LPC, LSW, LGSW.
