Charles County HARC is seeking motivated Direct Support Professionals to join our growing team. Charles County HARC operates beautiful residential homes located in La Plata, Waldorf and Port Tobacco Maryland, with our Administrative Office located in Waldorf. Direct Support Professionals are the backbone of our organization, some of the duties of this position may include but are not limited to:

· Supporting individuals in developing, implementing and achieving meaningful goals in the areas where people live, learn work and play.

· Creating a culture of support where people feel inspired to challenge themselves to accomplish their dreams.

· Assisting individuals to cultivate and develop meaningful relationships in their community, enjoying a full and happy opportunity to interact without barriers. This may include providing transportation, supervision and assistance to the individual in the community.

· Assist individuals in areas of personal care where support may be needed. This may include bathing, dressing, cooking, eating, cleaning and medication administration.

· Work as a team to focus on the needs and desires of the individuals we support and build bridges over obstacles.

· Ensure the health, safety and wellness of the HARC Family.

Direct Support Professionals (Starting Pay Range is $15)

We have a variety of full and part time Direct Support Professional Positions available throughout the organization. Some of the positions are:

· Awake Overnight 10am-8am (Full Time)

· Residential Assistants (Part Time Evening and Weekends)

· 1 on 1 Support (varies)

Successful candidates for these direct support positions must meet the following requirements:

· Valid driver’s license with a minimum number of points.

· Clean Criminal Background.

· Experience preferred but not required

· Pass pre-employment drug testing

Employees are required to wear masks at all HARC locations, as well as daily temperature checks. Charles County HARC follows all COVID 19 Guidelines through Charles County Health Department and the CDC.

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• Caregiving: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Preferred)
