Direct Shipment Specialist (OH)

IMCD US currently has an opening for a Direct Shipment Specialist. This role is based in our Corporate Headquarters in Westlake, Ohio.
The Direct Shipment Specialist serves as the primary liaison with our Principals for orders shipping direct to IMCD Customers for the Principals assigned. They will collaborate with customer service team members and Principals to ensure accurate, timely fulfillment, and invoicing of direct orders. They track order trends, changes, and challenges to identify potential issues and develop process improvements.

• Primary Principal liaison for orders shipping direct to customers
• Review direct Purchase Order documents (OD) for accuracy and completeness of information and provide to Principal contacts for processing
• Review Principal confirmations for accuracy and record in JDE.
• Communicate any order variances to customer service.
• Execute timely completion of any order change requests.
• Proactively manage dates within system and ensure timely shipment of orders to our customers.
• Follow up with Principal when confirmations or invoices are not received in a timely fashion.
• Be the subject matter expert on Principal direct ship requirements.
• Create and maintain playbooks and other resources detailing Principal Direct ship order requirements.
• Collaborate with customer service and supply chain to ensure standard operation procedures are being followed.
• Educate customer service team on Principal requirements and request corrections to sales orders (SD) when needed.
• Develop a system to track changes, escalations, and order challenges to identify trends, at the Principal or among internal IMCD staff, and communicate them regularly to management.
• Resolves conflicts by assisting team, warehouses, Principals, sales, and internal departments.
• Assists other members of the team, as needed, to achieve department goals.
• Understands how job responsibilities affects other departments and how role affects the success of the company.
• Participates in ongoing continuous improvement initiatives.
• Completes necessary project work, as assigned.

Required Education and Experience:

• Associate degree.
• Customer service experience.
• Computer experience.
