Job description
This is an open and continuous posting for full-time and part-time positions on multiple shifts in our residential sites.
Open Position Locations: Lowell, MA; Tyngsboro, MA; Tewksbury, MA; and Chelmsford, MA.

ASI is currently seeking compassionate and energetic staff members to join our team to provide direct care services and individualized supports for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

The direct care support role provides ongoing support, guidance, teaching, and role modeling to the individuals we serve to promote and increase independence.
Duties and Responsibilities (These duties are a general summary and not all-inclusive):
- Support and participate with individuals in various daily activities and/or routines inside their home and in the community by promoting self-advocacy, decision-making, and independence (activities may include: recreational events, appointments, shopping, exercising, etc.).
- Promote and encourage active participation in community events. Transport individuals to various community activities (such as work, recreational activities, and other engagements as needed).
- Assist individuals with activities of daily living, home maintenance, and perform cleaning responsibilities (activities may include: meal preparation, personal hygiene, housekeeping tasks, laundry, etc.). Guidance and role modeling should be provided as appropriate.
- Provide support to individuals by assisting in the implementation and data collection of their Individual Service Plan (ISP) objectives.
- Complete daily shift documentation and data collection.
- Support individuals with maintaining relationships with family members and friends and developing new relationships.
- Under the direction and supervision of ASI's Clinical Services Department, follow and implement behavior support plans as written.
- Administer medications in accordance with the Medication Administration Program (MAP) regulations.
- Maintain individuals' confidentiality and records; preserve individuals' human rights by complying with applicable laws and regulations.
- Ensure the ongoing health and safety of the individuals we support.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent. Associate’s Degree in a human services-related field preferred.
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
- Possess a current and valid Class D Motor Vehicle Operator's License
- Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities is preferred.
- Applicants must pass the Medication Administration Program (MAP) certification. (ASI will provide training)
- Applicants must obtain and maintain Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and First Aid (FA) certification. (ASI will provide training)
Sign-on Bonus:
$500.00 Sign-on Bonus will be provided after 90-Days of employment for part-time, and full-time employees.
