Teaching
The incumbent will be expected to participate as a mentor and provide training workshops for sleep and circadian methods. The incumbent will provide mentorship and supervision of trainees students and staff as well as help oversee the career development of Center faculty.
Research
The incumbent will take a significant role in the COBRE Center organizing the SCM Core facilities mentoring junior faculty applicants for research supported by the Center working toward a successful resubmission of the COBRE Center and serving on the Center�s Executive Leadership Team. The incumbent will be expected to maintain a program of grant-funded research contribute to the teaching and mentoring of postdoctoral scholars associated with Bradley Hospital and engage with the local scholarly community as well as provide outreach to the lay public. Close cooperative collaboration with faculty in the Department and Psychiatry and Human Behavior and E.P. Bradley Hospital as well as with researchers from sleep research centers on a national level is expected. The incumbent must maintain a continuous record of scholarly achievement including research publications grant applications research training and peer review grants and manuscripts. The incumbent will serve as a member of national and international research collaborations. It is expected that approximately 46% (or other agreed on percentage) of the incumbent's time will be devoted to research and space will be provided.
Administrative
The position is funded by the COBRE Center with support for 5 years and includes a continuing role as Director of the Center�s Sleep and Circadian Methods (SCM) Core. The incumbent will take a significant role in the COBRE Center organizing the SCM Core facilities serving on the Center�s Executive Leadership Team.
Service
The incumbent will be expected to actively participate in all activities of the E.P. Bradley Hospital the Department of Psychiatry and Human Behavior and The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University.

Requirements
Minimum requirements include: Candidate must hold a Ph.D. or equivalent in Behavioral Sciences Public Health Social Sciences Psychology Neuroscience or other related fields. The successful candidate must have significant and documented expertise and research experience in sleep and circadian rhythms methodology along with evidence of experience with pediatric populations particularly for mental health. Must have a growing or established record of scholarship in the field. The ideal candidate will have NIH-funded research or a very strong promise of such funding; maintain a research focus on sleep and circadian rhythms in young humans aspire to engage in research mentorship and contribute to a vibrant environment of scholars among E.P. Bradley Hospital�s faculty and trainees. Must qualify for appointment as Assistant Professor Associate Professor or Full Professor at the Alpert Medical School of Brown University.
