Description:
Under the supervision of the Food Service Director and Food Service Supervisor, performs a variety of supportive, non-professional duties in the preparation and distribution of food for patients, employees, and visitors.
Job Qualifications:
1. High school diploma preferred with ability to read, write, and follow oral and written instructions.
2. Ability to work with various cleaning solutions.
3. Ability to work under conditions of sudden changes in temperature when entering refrigerated areas or working around serving counters and equipment; subject to burns from hot food and utensils, cuts from knives, and the possibility of injury from falls on slippery floors.
4. Previous Food Service experience preferred.
A. Most senior employee who is currently working in position posted.
B. Most senior employee with one year of experience in department of position posted.
C. Most qualified senior employee.
5. Must have the ability to work independently and organize several projects.
6. Must be able to move intermittently throughout the day.
7. Must be able to speak the English language in an understandable manner.
8. Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position.
9. Must be able to see and hear, or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately to assure that the requirements of this position can be fully met.
10. Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
