Diesel Mechanic Technician
Position Overview:
The Diesel Mechanic Technician will be tasked with completing preventative maintenance, repairs, inspections, and component replacements on various Charter Buses, School Buses, Shuttles, Transits, Sprinters, and automobiles.
Position Responsibilities:
- Knowledge of diesel engines, automotive gas engines, brake systems (air & hydraulic), electrical systems along with general knowledge on any heavy equipment repairs.
- Perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs in a safe, efficient, and well-equipped work environment
- Diagnostics and repairs of diesel engines, automotive gas engines, powertrains, HVAC systems, steering systems, electrical systems, cooling systems, and brake systems
- Conduct DOT, BIT inspections, DVIR compliance and CHP compliance repairs
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience working on diesel trucks or commercial buses
- Must supply your own tools and tool box
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of Heavy Duty Diesel and Gas Automotive engines.
- Technical degree in diesel or industrial technology (Preferred)
- Valid driver’s license
Schedule:
- Monday- Friday (Must be able to work rational weekends)
Pay Rate:
- $30.00/hr.-$40.00/hr. (Depending on Experience)
