Job Summary:

The Senior Cloud Solutions Architect is tasked with enabling the development teams to build and scale cloud-native applications and services. This role will be involved in determining and implementing modern practices and procedures to achieve operational excellence and deliver value to Kinetic’s internal and external customers. This role will have high visibility within our team and the person in this role will be instrumental throughout the entire process of ideation, deployment, and support. A commitment to collaborative problem solving and quality products is essential.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the development teams to implement or enable innovative tooling and architecture to help support our rapidly growing business
• Help define and implement practices and procedures for full lifecycle platform automation, reliability, and observability
• Build and support CI/CD pipelines
• Proactively iterate and improve our system’s performance and reliability
• Actively participate in the design, implementation, and day-to-day support of our infrastructure
• Identify platforms and services that help deliver value to the organization
• Improve our processes through automation, transparency, and enablement
• Root cause analysis of system issues
• Be an advocate for best practices and modern technologies
• Promote a positive, supportive, and innovative culture of software development

Education and Experience:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in a DevOps/SRE/Software Engineer role building and/or supporting cloud-first applications and services

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Proficient in cloud technologies. We are all-in on Microsoft Azure PaaS (Functions, App Services, Service Bus, Cosmos, etc.)
• Solid understanding of the principles behind designing, building, and maintaining cloud-native applications and services
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code principles and tools (Bicep, ARM, Terraform, etc.)
• Desire to always iterate systems and processes and see this as a competitive advantage
• Able to work in a fast-moving and rapidly evolving environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit at a desk and work on a computer for prolonged periods of time.
• Must be able to communicate clearly.
• Ability to operate computer and office equipment, maintain paper files, move about an office environment.
• Must be able to move objects up to 20 pounds.
• Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards.
