The Animal Haven, Inc., a no-kill shelter for dogs and cats located in North Haven, CT, seeks a Development Assistant/CRM System Manager
Job description for the Development Assistant/CRM System Manager position is as follows:
Part time Position: approximately 20 hours per week.
Location: Could be remote.
Salary: $20 to $25 per hour
Reports to: The Animal Haven’s (TAH) Board Development Committee Chair
Summary
The person in this position will handle all aspects of TAH's Customer Relations Management (CRM) system (DonorPerfect), including the execution of all acknowledgments, and assist the Development Committee Chair and other board members in all administrative aspects of fundraising.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The Development Assistant/CRM System Manager will learn TAH’s fundraising processes and enter and manage all data in DonorPerfect. Among the Development Assistant's/CRM System Manager's responsibilties will be to:
- enter all donations to TAH into DonorPerfect, ensuring that all the data is entered correctly, consistently and according to TAH processes and DonorPerfect best practices (the donations entered into DonorPerfect include, but are not limited to, donations made by check, cash, Paypal, GiveGab, DonorPerfect's gift processing system, and Facebook);
- enter into DonorPerfect all data regarding donor/funder contacts and interactions;
- keep up to date on DonorPerfect training and train others as needed;
- pull DonorPerfect reports for mailing lists, email lists, and leadership management reports;
- ensure the integrity of the data in DonorPerfect by performing quarterly data clean ups;
- prepare board members for all donor/funder meetings with information from DonorPerfect and debrief board members and others after donor meetings and correctly enter data into DonorPerfect;
- execute acknowledgment and thank you note processes in DonorPerfect by set deadlines, update standard gift and thank you letters/emails, and coordinate with the board to ensure that top donors get personalized thank you letters;
- create and manage alerts in DonorPerfect regarding next steps and prepare appropriate board members for next steps;
- coordinate and help execute all appeals (both mail and email);
- track all gift opportunities and donor societies; and
- assist in creating and updating a development office manual.
Requirements:
- High school degree. 2-4 year college degree preferred.
- 2+ years of CRM system experience, Donor Perfect preferred
- Excellent attention to detail. Fastidious attention to entering data correctly.
- Technology & Computer Literacy (Keyboarding Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel,)
- Ability to learn new CRM skills and apply them
- Time Management – ability to manage expectations and set realistic deadlines.
- Solid communication skills (verbal and written)
- Ability to get along well with others and to take and act on supervisor’s constructive advice
- Sefl-starter with initiative – able to propose solutions to issues
- Strong work references
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
