YOUR MISSION

  • Collaborate on the delivery of PUMA SportStyle Footwear Design, under the leadership of the Senior Team Head of Design - SportStyle Footwear in Boston.
  • Conceptualize unique and market relevant designs that address consumer, retailer and company goals on a close-to-market seasonal timeline.
  • Execute against design briefs with color and material concepts for seasonal footwear product lines supporting collection themes and design direction.
  • Provide market research and design trend analysis supporting collection theme and design direction.
  • Prepare support material for global and local team reviews.
  • Create color, material, and graphic files with detail specifications through standardized design packages, maintaining costing goals.
  • Work as a partner with Product Line Management and Development teams to deliver and develop unique and relevant products in line with the PUMA development calendar.
  • Follow-up on designs and design deliverables in a timely manner.
  • Potential travel to partner creative meetings and factories on a seasonal basis.

YOUR TALENT

  • College/university degree or equivalent in Design, Material Design, Graphic Design, Interior Design, Fashion, Apparel & Textile Design, or related.
  • Minimum 1-year experience within Footwear Design Industry or related.
  • Understanding of colors and materials (leather, textile, woven and non-woven, plastic, print) regarding impact, use and properties within footwear performance and sport lifestyle products.
  • Desire to create and tell stories through product execution.
  • Competency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent conceptualization, communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to travel and work internationally 10% yearly.
  • Excellent organizational skills coupled with a pro-active, team-based personality.
  • Understanding of international fashion/consumer trends and global market dynamics.
