Design Strategist
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary responsibilities of this role, Design Strategist, are to:
- Build and lead problem solving, discovery framing and design thinking activities, and workshops;
- Distill workshop outputs, craft next steps and strategies for teams to execute;
- Enjoy building relationships within the organization and seek opportunities to help solve problems;
- Be comfortable dealing with ambiguity and possess the ability to diagnose problems and recommend the right approach;
- Actively lead stakeholders, business partners and product teams through activities that are inclusive, build a better understanding of our internal clients, customers, and services;
- Lead co creation activities with product teams, business stakeholders, clients, and customers;
- Enable teams to take ideas from innovation to reality with on-going support as ideas mature into solutions;
- Provide design leadership and uphold high standards for our products and services;
- Evangelize for human centered design within our organization as well as throughout the company;
- Drive continuous improvement of existing products, services, and business processes by identifying opportunities where the teams can improve both the experience and raising the level of human centered design practices on the team.
- Remote work is available to those who reside in the United States.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and/or Human Computer Interaction certification program;
- Facilitating remote/in person design thinking engagements;
- Leading product and/or business teams through discovery, innovation and early product development, or relevant product experience;
- Adapts easily and understands how to pivot with changing requirements;
- Ability to articulate ideas and effectively communicate them to others;
- Ability to understand and implement lean activities to provide an impact;
- Ability to parse through lots of information and distill the most important insights;
- Experience working as part of a collaborative, fast paced multidisciplinary team;
- Experience using tools such as MIRO or MURAL.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Passion for human centered design and its application to innovation, business and problem solving;
- Aptitude for technology tools and applications a plus;
- Aptitude for visual and digital design tools a plus;
- Experience working with design systems a plus.
