Design Engineer
Belmont Trailers is a rapidly growing company in Leola, PA that manufacturers high quality steel and aluminum trailers. Duties and responsibilities
This a list of the primary job responsibilities, but you are also expected to help in other areas as needed to ensure the success of the Belmont Team as a whole.
- Collaborate with our R&D Team to design new trailers,
- Provide custom product drawings for special order requests
- Improve current products and product drawings
- Assist with research and development as well as validation testing
- Work closely with the production Team to design fixtures and processes to increase quality and efficiency.
- Generate Standard Work instructions and processes for the production Team
- Evaluate production schedules and process flows and find places for improvement. This would likely not apply until the Design Engineer is more settled into the job and knows the ins and outs of the entire production process.

- Experienced: Previous experience drafting with SolidWorks or other 3D Modeling Software. Strong computer skills. Knowledge of manufacturing codes & testing criteria is a plus. Experience with trailer, agricultural equipment, or similar Design a plus.
- Innovative: Enjoys research and development. Willing to learn from Teammates and other industry experts.
- A Problem Solver: Willing to work with the Team to uncover solutions.
- A Good Communicator: Able to communicate effectively with Teammates and other departments.
Compensation
- $60,000 to $85,000 annual base salary DOE

Pay: $60,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
