POSITION SUMMARY

Operations Specialist I handles sophisticated functions that have reputation, regulatory and monitory risk. The functions are time sensitive and must be completed with specific guidelines. Individuals are expected to be able to think independently and work through routine problems solving them with little or no supervisory input. Escalation is required for problems that could have broad customer or regulatory impact. Monitory risk related problems, where there could be the expectation of a loss to the bank should be escalated. Contact with customers and co-workers are a routine part of the position. The individual holding this position is expected to become a subject matter expert and therefore a resource to the department as well as to other departments within the bank. Cross training on all department functions, including some of the department assistant manager functions is also part of this job function. Individuals holding this position are expected to be polite, helpful and adhere to the department’s policies concerning customer privacy, escalation and the transferring of calls.

REQUIREMENTS

• Prior Operations or Banking experience
• Strong computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Well-developed interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational, project management and analytical skills
• Attention to detail
• Self-direction, self-starter
• Must be able to work at a pace that ensures you meet established deadlines
