POSITION SUMMARY: The purpose of the Specialist, Depack Chemist is to segregate chemicals by waste categories. Work with TSDF Technicians in a warehouse environment.

PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Unpack chemicals from drums.
• Segregate chemicals by waste categories.
• Determine which chemicals can be safely bulked/consolidated.
• Bulk/consolidate chemicals while using personal protective and respiratory protective equipment.
• Administrative functions including creating packing lists, QA/QC documents, and waste tracking.
• Repackage chemicals as per the final disposal facility specifications

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• 4yr degree with a major in sciences preferred
• Pass a Pre-Employment Physical, Drug Screen and Alcohol testing
• Pass a Pre-Employment Background Screening
• Pass the OSHA HAZWOPER 40-hour training

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s Degree or relevant experience
