• Proficiency in Dentrix Software.
• Strong communication and Interpersonal skills

• Assisting the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures
• Be responsible
• Take digital radiographs (x-rays) using Dexis/Dentrix Software
• Ask about the patient's medical history and taking blood pressure and pulse
• Serve as an infection control officer, developing infection control protocol and preparing and sterilizing instruments and equipment
• Help patients feel comfortable before, during and after dental treatment
• Provide patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures, such as the placement of a restoration (filling)
• Teach patients appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health; (e.g., tooth brushing, flossing and nutritional counseling)
• Take impressions of patients' teeth for study casts (models of teeth)
• Perform office management tasks that often require the use of a personal computer
• Communicate with patients and suppliers (e.g., scheduling appointments, answering the telephone, billing and ordering supplies)
• Help to provide direct patient care in all dental specialties, including pediatric dentistry, endodontics, prosthodontics, periodontics and oral surgery

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• Dental assisting: 1 year (Preferred)
• Dental Assistants: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• X-Ray Certification (Required)
• Dental Assistant License (Preferred)
