Delivery Driver Job Description
At La Segunda Bakery Our fast-paced, well-known bakery is looking for an outstanding Driver to deliver around the area to the local route and stadiums. Our bakery specializes in handmade pastries, authentic Cuban bread, as well as various breads. Candidate will execute professionalism with a smile. Duties include packing orders, loading/unloading products with racks and trays, routinely lifting 20-50lbs and others various tasks. This position is for full time employment shifts may vary based on delivery times.
Qualifications:
- Excellent customer service, we have fostered community partnerships and relationships with our customers for over 100 years!
- Must be at least 18 Years of age
- Comfortable driving 16 ft box truck, no CDL required
- Clean driving record & valid driver’s license
- Able to pass background check
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to clearly communicate company purpose and initiatives
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Have a strong sense of urgency and the ability to multi-task
- Be open to change in a growing environment
- Ability to maintain composure, even with difficult customers
- Always be accountable
- Must have open availability and available to work hours between 2am-4pm
Duties
- Reports directly to the Plant Manager of the Wholesale bakery
- Come to work with a clean, neat appearance, & in the correct uniform
- Maintain La Segunda’s high standards for product freshness and sanitation, while abiding by the health department requirements
- Help execute all orders (including packing some pastry/bread orders) until it is time to deliver
- Pack/load truck and strap in racks and trays
- Deliver orders to customers and ensure customer satisfaction
- Maintain a clean and presentable vehicle
