Carlie C's, in Chocowinity, is looking for experienced deli bakery associates, which includes deli clerks, cake decorators, and cooks, that have open availability, that includes mornings, afternoons, nights, weekdays, and weekends.
As a deli bakery associate, with Carlie C’s, the number one responsibility and priority is to provide prompt, excellent, and friendly customer service that meets, satisfies, and exceeds the customer's expectations. Having knowledge of the products, building customer relationships, and being able to get along with co-workers is a critical aspect of the department to maximize the sales and building the business for years to come. As a deli bakery associate, you'll handle everything from fried chicken to, our very own, 9 layer chocolate cakes, and everything in between. Preparing, serving, cooking, and cleaning; it's all a part of the Carlie C's deli bakery department.
Below is a list of some of the duties/responsibilities, skills, and/or qualifications needed to be a deli bakery associate.
Duties
- Use scales and printer, understand tare weight.
- Use and sharpen meat/cheese slicer.
- Use chicken fryer, monitor grease.
- Make meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
- Understand portion control.
- Monitor food temperature requirements.
- Bake and decorate cakes.
- Operate oven, proof box.
- Keep sales area full, and rotated.
- Clean and sanitize equipment and department area(s).
- Maintain Carlie C's uniform standards.
- Any and all other daily operational duties as directed by Deli Bakery Manager.
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age, friendly and outgoing.
- Neat and clean in appearance.
- Must enjoy working with the public.
- Must be able to read and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Be prompt, follow a schedule, and have reliable transportation.
- Experience a plus.
