Dedicated Freight Handler

Position Summary: Loads, unloads, and moves freight from trailer to customer's store room by performing the following duties:

• Ride with driver to customer locations.
• Read manifests or follows oral instructions to ensure correct freight to be moved.
• Assist driver to open trailer and operate liftgate.
• Load and unload materials onto or from trailer by pallet jack or hand as needed.
• Load materials into vehicles and installs bracing, rope, or dunnage to prevent shifting or damage in transit.
• Count, and record number of units of materials moved or handled on control copy and manifest.
• Lift heavy objects by hand or with pallet jacks or hand trucks and cleans work area.

No prior experience necessary. For the right candidates, we will train!

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty. Must be able to successfully pass drug/physical and background screening.
