Debt Settlement Negotiator Position/Company Overview:

As a negotiation specialist, you will work directly with creditors, collection agencies, and attorney offices to negotiate reduced settlements on delinquent and/or charged-off accounts on behalf of our clients. Negotiators are responsible for building rapport with creditors to obtain the best settlements for our client’s unsecured debt. Negotiators handle a large file of active accounts, manages creditor documentation, works under deadlines, and provides excellent customer service to clients, creditors, and internal departments.

The ideal candidate is self-motivated, goal driven, and has a strong desire to help others.

Must be very organized and have excellent time management skills.

Debt Settlement Negotiator Responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Manage an effective schedule and workflow to get settlements offers for clients.
• Submit required documentation for approval and set up payment to the creditor accounts.
• Calculate payment plans for client accounts and accurately determine availability of funds.
• Update and maintain the database to increase productivity of the entire negotiation team.
• Develop an expansive network of creditor contacts to aid in settlement
• Make outbound and answer inbound calls between clients and creditors
• Negotiate the designated minimum settlements to hit company production goals
• Maintain professional relationships with internal departments and customers
