Position Title: Davenport Machine Operator

Location: Chesnee, SC

Posting Dates: May 9, 2023

POSITION SUMMARY:

Operate various types of screw machines, including Davenport, ACME, and Brown and Sharpe, and other assorted secondary operation machines to produce turned valve bodies and other valve components in accordance with production needs and standard operating procedure. Other duties as assigned. Pay is based on experience.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

• Prepare the first piece inspection in accordance with company policy.
• If required, submit first piece to quality control department for inspection.
• Obtain and load proper bar stock to machines.
• Make minor and/or major adjustments to machinery to insure that production stays within established quality parameters.
• Perform resets which involve tool changes, re-sharpening, etc.
• Completion of production records such as recap cards and pan tickets.
• Assist in securing proper paperwork for operators within your compliment of machines.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Excellent math skills
• Ability to use gages and precision measuring equipment and read and interpret blue prints.
• Prior experience preferred but not required. We will train qualified candidates.
