Description
The Data Entry Specialist role is responsible for assisting the payroll tax department with various tasks including reviewing and logging tax notices, corresponding with tax agencies, and account maintenance in a fast moving, complex payroll environment.

Essential Functions:

• Review and log tax notices
• Assist with writing letters and emails to tax agencies
• Account maintenance functions, including updating SUTA rates, payment frequencies, and other attributes that allow for timely payments and tax filings
• Assist with filing monthly and quarterly tax returns as needed
• Assist the tax team with special projects and tasks as needed

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Must be able to work within a fast moving, complex payroll environment
• Must be able to demonstrate professional and clear communication when working with clients, tax agencies, and colleagues
• Must be able to type at least 60wpm
• Must be detail oriented and exhibit strong time management skills
• Ability to be trusted with confidential information is required
• Ability to work individually and as a team
• Experience with UKG Ready (Workforce Ready), Evolution, or MasterTax preferred, but not required
• Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel strongly preferred

Minimum Qualifications:

• Associate's Degree required
• Minimum 1 year experience in an office setting strongly preferred

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift

COVID-19 considerations:
Masks are optional except for in peak times when management deems them mandatory. Remote work is available at management discretion during peak times as well.
