Data Analyst

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Participate in Requirement Gathering sessions and Workshop sessions with Business to get the business rules, mapping and transformation logics.
• Responsible for creating mapping document which contains source to target mapping and transformation rules.
• Perform data validation to ensure accuracy. Profile the data for correctness and making sure the conversion data has no errors or issues.
• Work across teams including development team to assist them in understanding the business requirements, technical mapping documents and transformation logics and rules.
• Create and maintain Mapping Documents with selection criteria, field level mapping and transformation rules and got it approved by the Line of Business.
• Create production compare reports to ensure the converted data is in sync with the existing production reports before moving to new platforms.
• Participate in Test events for analysis of the reports, raising the defects, testing and closure of the defects.
• Participate in daily defect triage calls to make sure the defects are assigned to respective teams and monitoring the status.

Tools (in order of priority): Oracle, SQL, Hadoop, IBM Data Studio and DB2, TeraData, SAS, Google Cloud, SharePoint, Microsoft Office

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years experience in a similar role
• Excellent technical, diagnostic, and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong analytical and problem solving abilities
• Ability to build professional relationships with partners.

• Excellent interpersonal, written, oral and motivational skills.
