Cyber Security Analyst
WHAT WE SEEK
This newly created position will report to the Director of Corporate IT. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cyber security policies and procedures for the corporate environment. This role will also be responsible for securing our cloud-based resources though the use of MFA and other means were appropriate, developing and testing disaster recovery and incident response plans, as well as working with the various corporate departments and vendors to ensure proper security methods are being enforced.
WHAT YOUR DAY WILL LOOK LIKE
- Work with the IT director and CISO on security policies and create procedures to enforce them
- Work with Systems Administrator to make changes related to security
- Learn about new threats that may impact various resources and plan accordingly
- Review and test Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity procedures
- Manage end user Security Awareness training
- Develop processes and enforce technical controls to identify, classify, securely handle, retain, and dispose of data.
- Collect and review audit logs to help identify, understand, and recover from an attack
- Monitor the company’s continuous vulnerability management processes
- Other tasks as assigned by the IT director
- Monitor key cybersecurity metrics suitable for management and staff reporting
- Review supplier relationships to clearly establish and manage security expectations
WHAT SHOULD BE IN YOUR BOOKBAG
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline
- 2+ years in a Cyber Security Analyst position
- Experience securing Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Active Directory
- Experience with Endpoint Security software
- Experience maintaining and configuring firewalls
- Experience writing policies and procedures regarding disaster recovery, DLP, patch remediation, etc.
- Experience with vulnerability and patch management platforms
- Demonstrated organization, facilitation, written and oral communication, and presentation skills,
- Broad knowledge of cybersecurity architecture, industry standards, procedures, and guidance
