Peraton is looking for a qualified Task Manager to become part of the Department of State (DoS) Diplomatic Security Cyber Mission (DSCM) program providing leading cyber and technology security experience to enable innovative, effective and secure business processes. Peraton’s DSCM program encompasses technical, engineering, data analytics, cyber security, management, operational, logistical and administrative support to aid and advise DoS Cyber & Technology Security (CTS) Directorate. This includes protecting a global cyber infrastructure comprising networks, systems, information, and mobile devices all while identifying and responding to cyber risks and threats. Those supporting Peraton’s DSCM program strive to leverage their expert knowledge and propose creative solutions to real-world cybersecurity challenges. This role supports the Cyber Operation Division within CMO.
The Task Manager role can be located in Rosslyn, VA or Beltsville, MD.
Position Description:
- Provide project management oversite and reporting for multiple projects
- Lead scheduled project scrums with engineers and perform project status reports as needed to the customers
- Support development of Lean Business Case, project charters, detailed project plans and other project documentation
- Conduct resource management, identify project limitations and remove blockers to ensure project success
- Support Portfolio Manager with task tracking, mandatory reporting, as well as additional project development to include resource tracking
- Coordinate project scheduling with engineers and other project management to ensure requirements are identified and known across the team
- Interact with the customer and project owners to ensure they are well informed of project status as well as deviations need for project success
Basic Qualifications- To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:
- Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 9 years’ experience required. An additional 4 years of experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
- Active Secret security clearance required
- Experience utilizing Structure Agile Framework (SAFe), Agile, Scrum or Kanban as a project/product manager
- Experience developing project documentation and managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience managing IT projects with a focus on agile and CI/CD
- Experience with resource planning and tracking
- Proven efficiency in establishing milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules
- Understanding of technical concepts and required skillsets for implementing technical solutions
- Strong communication skills
Desired Quals –
- Experience building automations in PowerBI
- Agile certification or PMP preferred

Salary Minimum: $97,500 Salary Mid: $195,000 Salary Maximum: $243,800 The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position, and is just one component of Peraton's total compensation package for employees. Colorado Salary Minimum: $80,000
Colorado Salary Maximum: $194,000
