Job Summary: Responsible for acting as a liaison between customers and Alphapointe. Assists with orders, complaints, errors, account questions, cancellations and other customer inquiries.
Essential Functions:
- Resolve customer complaints via phone, email, mail or fax
- Greet customers warmly and ascertain problem or reason for calling
- Assist with placement of orders, refunds or exchanges
- Take payment information or other pertinent information such as addresses and phone numbers
- Place or cancel orders
- Answer questions about Alphapointe products and terms of sales
- Utilize computer technology to handle customer inquiries
- Work with Customer Service Manager to ensure proper customer service is being delivered
- Compile and maintain reports as requested by the Customer Service Manager such as customer complaint log, customer order tracking, etc.
- Assist in assigned sales efforts
- Participate and provide expertise as a member of the customer service’s departmental team. The team’s objectives are to develop and recommend changes to existing methods and systems to increase accuracy, efficiency and responsiveness of the customer service department as a whole.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
- College degree preferred.
- Preferred experience or skills include two years business related activities and/or customer service work involving phone contact with established customers.
- Knowledge of basic computer usage for data entry and analysis, telemarketing, and any work with direct customer contact is preferred.
- Desirable experience includes inventory control, shipping clerical work, and record keeping duties.
