Customer Service/Inside Sales Representative
Job description
Gerson is a leading N95 producer as well as a premier manufacturer of air-purifying respirators, liquid filters for cleaning paints and solvents, tack cloths for removal of surface particulates, chemical cartridges, and melt-blown filters. We are a premier manufacturer with over 50 years of experience in the manufacturing field.
We are seeking a Customer Service Representative to work with customers to ensure a smooth sales process. You will demonstrate excellent customer service and professionalism as well as develop leads and seek opportunities to present additional products to current as well new customers. This position is also responsible for maintaining and servicing distributors and key accounts with pricing quotations, order entry, and the management of other requests from customers.
This position interfaces regularly with customers, sales representatives, company sales managers, production, and shipping.
You must possess excellent customer service skills and have marketing and sales acumen to develop leads and explain the products addressing questions and concerns to increase sales.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The core responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Review and enter orders with correct pricing and provide confirmation, freight, and deliver information
- Monitor key accounts and initiate order follow-up
- Provide customer feedback
- Assist in the resolution of any order issues
ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
- Ability to prioritize and work effectively with or without direct supervision
- Outstanding customer service skills including the ability to organize and follow-up
- Excellent organizational skills and detailed oriented
- Must be a team player and possess good interpersonal skills
- Ability to problem solve and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing to all levels of staff and customers
- Computer Skills, including Windows, MS Office, Excel, EDI, Customer Portals
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High school or equivalent
- 1 year of previous customer service experience (preferred)
