Become a Customer Programs Conservation Efficiency Specialist at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. This position will be in the Customer Service department within the Customer Programs & Services (CP&S) team. Within CP&S lies our Demand Response Program team, which leads and influences California’s largest Demand Response portfolio. As part of the Demand Response Team, you’ll be part of a team supporting our Demand Response Program operations, which delivers customer focused programs that create grid reliability, help customers save energy, and help lower their energy bills. These programs support SCE’s ability to mitigate high energy prices, respond to grid emergencies, and reduce the long-term demand for new power generation resources. SCE’s DR programs provide customers with the option to receive incentives in exchange for agreeing to reduce their energy demand upon request by SCE. In this role, you will provide support for program implementation activities, processing enrollments, conduct analytics reporting, and perform quality control activities to ensure compliance with program policies.

Provide analytical and operational support to the Demand Response (DR) Help Desks that service customers, Our Business Customer Division, and third party vendors on the Base Interruptible Program (BIP), Agricultural and Pumping Interruptible Program (API), Critical Peak Pricing (CPP), Optional Binding Mandatory Curtailment (OBMC), Real-Time Pricing (RTP), Summer Discount Plan (SDP), and Smart Energy Program (SEP), Automated Demand Response Incentives (Auto-DR), and the Emergency Load Reduction Program (ELRP).
- Evaluates and resolves customer inquiries, issues, and problems, and ensures that appropriate action is taken to the satisfaction of the customer, Company, and/or CPUC in compliance with policies, procedures, tariff rules and rates.
- Produce a high volume of data entry tasks with a high degree of detail and accuracy
- Lead key activities to support Program Advisors managing program changes and improvements, both technical and non-technical.
- Develop, maintain, and streamline desktop procedures and program manuals
- Identify process improvements and work with appropriate stakeholders to implement.
The essentials
- Two (2) or more years of experience resolving customer issues by researching and analyzing information, policies and offering services and products.
- One year (1) or more years using Access, Word, Excel, & PowerPoint
The preferred
- Associates degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Knowledge of Energy Saving Program offerings
- Experience using SAP and Business Objects

- Work Mode: Effective January 2022, this position’s work mode is Hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage.
