Position Title: Meat Cutter

Here is what you can expect as a new Meat Cutter Team Member:
Responsibilities and Duties

Greet customers
-
Provide cutting, preparation, and stocking for the meat and seafood department

Ensure a positive shopping experience for customers.

Answer customer questions, provide product sampling, and offer suggestions

Stock, rotate and face meat and seafood product
-
Follow merchandising plan
-
Follow safe food handling and preparation processes
-
Follow approved preparation and production guidelines
-
Ensure proper product quality, presentation, and rotation
-
Demonstrate proficiency in sawing, boning, cutting, trimming, grinding, weighing, traying, and wrapping techniques and equipment
-
Plan and adjust production sheets to consistently maintain adequate department conditions
-
Maintain store’s quality and trim standards

Ensure a variety of product is prepared for maximum sales potential

Verify product with invoice
Qualifications and Skills
-
18 years or older (Required)
-
Provide the best customer service, period.

Knowledge of meat and seafood production and product preparation, food safety regulations, judgment/decision making, social skills/verbal interaction, memorization, reading, writing, and math
-
Able to use a variety of heavy machinery and cutting equipment
-
Utilize personal protective devices (rain suit, over boots, and chemical splash goggles)

Be able to work independently

Completes assigned tasks in an efficient and timely manner

Be able to lift and carry 50 pounds and push/pull up to 50 force pounds
