Platte Valley CompaniesJOB SUMMARY:
Primary responsibility is to review credit for all banks to minimize losses and to ensure that company lending practices conform to established policy in the three state regions. Secondary responsibility is to assist with internal auditing as necessary.
RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. MONITORING OF LOANS:
a. Monitor loans company-wide for adherence to loan policy and procedures, banking laws and regulations and documentation standards.
b. Prepare written loan review reports on all loans reviewed based upon an annual schedule.
c. Prepare and report credit review findings to senior credit officers at least quarterly.
d. Completed asset quality reviews will be sent to staff assistants to be scanned to the respective borrowers file and exceptions/deficiencies noted on pending list.
e. Review credit completed credit analyst and provide assistance to credit analyst as deemed necessary.
f. Attend weekly senior loan committee meetings for Nebraska, Wyoming and Colorado.
g. Evaluate credit quality and suggesting loans to be downgraded or upgraded based on most recent financial information
h. Attend and present pertinent topics at annual All Lender Meetings
i. Answer questions and provide expertise to all lenders
j. Other duties as assigned.
2. RESPONSIBILITY AS Credit Review Officer:
a. Chair monthly credit review committee meeting.
b. Chair quarterly status report meetings and act as secretary by taking minutes, preparing agenda, and providing status report sheets.
3. LOAN POLICY/COMPLIANCE
a. Responsible for Regulation O and all reports necessary for regulators.
b. Maintain loan policy manual in current status and distribute to all banks when necessitated.
c. Field questions for loan regulatory and loan policy inquires by associates.
4. REGULATORS / EXTERNAL AUDITORS:
a. Work with regulators and external auditors to monitor and assist with examination exceptions.
b. Will need to keep up-to-date on bank compliances regulations.
REQUIREMENTS: Minimum Qualifications:
1. Three to five years’ experience in banking with a working knowledge of lending, auditing and compliance.
2. Must be willing to travel and adjust to flexible hours. Traveling required to Nebraska, Wyoming and Colorado locations.
3. Undergraduate degree in finance, business or related field. Additional professional education at an audit and/or compliance school is preferred.
4. Knowledge of, or experience in, bank examination/audit/loan procedures. Maintain current knowledge of auditing requirements - on-going basis.
5. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
6. Demonstrated record of achievement in leadership skills.
7. Professional appearance.
8. General areas of competency: decision making, dependability, on-going development, environmental safety, evaluation skills, interpersonal skills, prioritizing, problem solving, team skills, self-sufficient/self-starting and time management.
9. Computer skills needed would include Word/Excel/Outlook.
10. Must be capable of working with and maintaining the confidentiality of sensitive information.
11. Normal working days are Monday through Friday ~ 40 hour work week. However, because of the traveling involved, additional hours may be required to do the job.
Physical Requirements:
Light Work - exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. Reaching, fingering, grasping, repetitive motions, stooping, crouching, standing, walking, lifting, climbing, kneeling, talking, hearing, pulling, pushing, thinking, concentrating and interacting with others.
